The OSI-Baltimore Community Fellowshipapplication is now open!
The program seeks dynamic activists and social entrepreneurs interested in implementing projects that address problems in underserved communities in Baltimore City. Fellowship awards are in the amount of $60,000 for a term of 18 months. Submit thepdf applicationby Monday, October 18 (5:00PM EDT) via the online grants portal. Applicants will be notified of their application status in January 2022 and applicants chosen for further consideration will be asked to develop a more detailed proposal at that time. Public Allies Baltimoreis currently accepting applications to join itsAlly Program.
Public Allies is a national movement committed to advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership capacities of young people. Allies are deployed to work with leading social entrepreneurs and cause leaders, Baltimore Corps strives to identify individuals who can excel both as members of a team and individually.
Current Opportunity for COVID Response
Baltimore Health Corps was created by the City of Baltimore, along with local and national organizations, to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and to address the social needs of vulnerable residents. This is a first-of-its-kind model that will equitably provide employment to trusted community members who will conduct contact tracing and care coordination across the city. The initiative will train and employ over 300 residents in a time of record unemployment, generate long-term career paths, and at the same time support the city's public health response to COVID-19.
Artist Fellowship
Baltimore Corps is seeking an Artist Navigator Fellowto lead a budding initiative that will support Baltimore Cityโs creatives. This position will be a member of the dynamic Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE) team and the Artist Navigator will report to the Sr. Services Manager. This individual will work closely with a forward-thinking team and partner organizations across the following key priority areas to build and strengthen the equity and racial justice focus of Baltimore Corps through social innovators.
Opportunities Opening in October
The mission of the Baltimore Womenโs Giving Circleis to empower women and their families in the greater Baltimore area to achieve self-sufficiency. After September, the organization will look for grant applications from organizations that serve women and their families in Baltimore City and/or Baltimore County. Grants are awarded in amounts up to $25,000. Applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
Baltimore Corps is hard at work making our city a place of more equitable opportunity every day. Their ELEVATION AWARDS are now are open for application to Black and POC residents. The Social Innovation Lab at Johns Hopkins University is now accepting applications for its 2021-22 Accelerator program. SIL provides funding, advising and mentorship, training, technical assistance, office space, and network access to help these innovative mission-driven companies and disruptive technologies develop into thriving, sustainable ventures that make a measurable impact. Since 2011, SIL has accelerated more than 100 ventures who have raised more than $76 million!
Early-stage entrepreneurs working towards a solution with a stated social or environmental impact are welcome to apply.
