The Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation contributes in the fields of mental health, health, and aging and 95% of funding is reserved for programs in greater Baltimore and the State of Maryland. The Foundation is especially interested in research as to the causes and treatment of mental illness and services for people with mental illness and their families. Typical grants are for $25,000-$150,000 and are awarded on a rolling deadline basis. Organizations (or their fiscal agents) must qualify as public charities under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, national origin, color, physical handicap, gender or sexual orientation.
