Introduce Yourself

Introduce Yourself

Introduce Yourself!

Sometimes it's hard to know where to start or how long to go when introducing yourself to your fellow weavers. There's so much that makes you, well . . . you!

So how can you find the right balance and context? Fortunately, some of us have already said “Hi” in our own way and we’re confident you can do it, too. :) You get to decide whether your intro is short or long, more factual or story-filled, focuses on your work or life (or both), or anything else you like.

Here are some questions to help you craft an intro that continues the time-honored tradition of Weavers before you:
  • What people, places, and events have flowed through your life that led you to become a weaver?
  • What interests, past experiences, or current learning goals are most relevant to your life in our community? (Feel free to paraphrase or copy and paste from your member profile.)
  • Why did you join our community? What dreams or goals do you have that you want our help with?
  • What experiences or knowledge do you have that we may find useful?

You may also consider:

  • Asking us a question that you’re curious about (and may get the conversation going in surprising ways).
  • Making your intro either partially or completely in video format. We invite you to turn on a webcam or find a smartphone stand and give us your wonderful, unedited self (if that’s your kind of thing).

You can do this! Now, let us know how nervous/excited and fantastically you you are so we can get the connection going. Click the green "Post Now" button to get started.
