If your business was directly impacted by Hurricane Helene, Appalachian Community Capital is releasing grant money to help!
Grants up to $25,000 are available to eligible small businesses located in Western North Carolina.
Small businesses can use the grants to cover expenses related to recovery and reopening in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Eligible uses include repair and replacement of physical damage, environmental cleanup, payment of business-related rents or mortgages, employee retention and hiring, and more.

The Health Foundation is excited to share that our Homegrown Health Mini Grant Program is now open for applications. This grant program supports projects that focus on healthy eating, active living, mental health, and resiliency that are tailored to our community needs. Awards range from $250 - $2,500 with a due date of June 14th. If you can't make this deadline, another round of applications will be due on September 30th. The Prohuman Foundation recognizes the vital role educators play in creating environments that 1) encourage a growth mindset among individuals, 2) foster relationships through positive connections, and 3) strengthen communities through social harmony. As these are the core values of the Prohuman Foundation, we plan to support educators doing this work by offering grant opportunities throughout the year.
In conjunction with the National Week of Conversation, Prohuman Foundation is currently offering grants of up to $500 for K-12 educators seeking support for mission-aligned educational initiatives focused on civic and bridge-building activities.
The goals of the Prohuman Educator Grant program are to: โ
- Advance the Prohuman Foundationโs Mission and Core Values
- Help strengthen social cohesion and build a positive vision for the future of our nationโs democracy
- Support K-12 educators in the United States
