Our speaker will be Weaver Orly Israel, a young man who has created The Listening Table, a project that invites communities, schools and organizations to deeper listening via a simple table, set up thoughtfully, that invites listening at no cost, with no judgment and with no advice. When engaged in strong listening, we don't just hear someone; we understand them. When someone is listened to, it takes the edge off. We let them know that we see them and truly hear what they are saying. When we are truly heard, we regulate our strongest emotions, allowing us to build stronger connections with others that can help us reason effectively through life's greatest challenges.
